French Toast Recipe

Breakfast with French toasts can make our Sundays more fun and better. Try this simple French Toast recipe!

What you need:

  1. Milk – 2 cups
  2. Gruyère cheese – 6 oz.
  3. Eggs – 6
  4. Dijon mustard – 1 tbsp
  5. Salt
  6. Shredded chives – ¼ cup
  7. French bread – 1 loaf
  8. Ground black pepper



  1. Prepare a ceramic dish by greasing it with oil or butter. Crack eggs in a bowl, add milk, mustard, salt for taste, pepper, and whisk well. Add chives to the mix.
  2. Place half of the loaf in the greased dish, tip the egg mix over it. Add 4 oz. cheese, and place the other half of the loaf over it. Then add the remaining egg-mix and press down on the bread. Add 2 oz cheese and close the lid.

Prepare the baking process by preheating the oven at 350°F. Bake for about 1 hour and remove from oven when the toast is golden and puffy.  Check if it’s done by inserting a knife; if the knife comes clean with no residue. Sprinkle chive shreds before serving.
