Brussels sprouts are good for your health, however, following this recipe, you can make them good for your tastebuds as well.
What you need:
- 2 Minced shallots
- Butter – 3 tbsp
- Bacon – 5 slices
- Halved Brussels sprouts – 2 lb.
- Heavy cream – ¾ cup
- Shredded Gruyère – ½ cup
- Kosher salt
- Cayenne pepper – ½ cup
- Shredded cheddar – ½ cup
- Prepare oven by preheating it to 375 degrees. Take a large oven-proof pan and cook bacon for 8 minutes over medium heat.Drain excess oil by placing the bacon slices on top of paper towels. Then chop into small pieces and remove the fat.
- Melt the butter in the pan over medium heat. Put sprouts, shallots, salt, and cayenne. Cook for 10 minutes.
- Then remove the pan from heat and pour heavy cream all over the bacon sprouts mixture. Tip the bacon and cheese over it and bake for 14-15 minutes.
